FuFu Presents: Feel the Groove at Duddell’s HK

Find yourself fiending for a night out? Well, after four months of confinement out of concern for our global wellbeing, it’s time to light up the night. FuFu (the collective who bring us Shi Fu Miz) is back in full force and bringing their expertly crafted soirees back to Duddell’s. On July 24th, FuFu Presents: Feel the Groove, an evening of disco, house, funk, and world music.

This post-social-restriction rager will start at 10pm at the Central hotspot. FuFu resident DJs MLCH and Guido Balboa will hit the decks before making way for special guest Orio Leshem of FAT FISH Familia

MLCH, a.k.a. Florian Mélinette, is the founder of FuFu and a Hong Kong-based DJ known across the land for his seamless ability to switch up beats from the old school classics to deep atmospheric sounds to disco and funk.  He knows how to keep the dancefloor on their toes and they worship him for it.

Guido Balboa is an Italian native making a name for himself on the Hong Kong scene. A disco diehard and a romantic by birthright, his M.O. is to show the world the forgotten artists from the country of love.

Orio Leshem is a Singapore-based DJ and event producer. One part of FAT FISH Familia, Leshem is notorious for not only his skills behind the decks but his expertly curated festival, Strawberry Space. Dedicated to enhancing and building the Singapore scene, he throws underground parties that highlight talent, both local and international.

FuFu Presents: Feel the Groove will awaken the dancing queen you have been suppressing the last four months. Dust off those boogie shoes and hit the dancefloor.

ABRACADABRA TV Presents 3-Day Virtual Music Festival this Weekend feat. BLOND:ISH and DIPLO

ABRACADABRA TV Presents 3-Day Virtual Music Festival this Weekend feat. BLOND:ISH and DIPLO

Got plans this weekend? ABRACADABRA TV is throwing a live-streamed, virtual electronic music festival this Friday, June 19th through Sunday, June 21st on Twitch with a lineup that will knock your socks off.

ABRACADABRA is the musical and magical lovechild of Vivie-Ann Bakos (more so known as BLOND:ISH) and Liliana Hilison. This weekend’s virtual festival will be three days of music, magic, self-love, and sustainability in support of the Bye Bye Plastic Foundation

Bye Bye Plastic is a badass foundation working towards making the music industry a whole lot greener. Dedicated to abolishing the use of single-use plastics at festivals, on tours, and at clubs and events, Bye Bye Plastic has created the Eco-Rider, encouraging artists and DJs to adopt it and eliminate their use of single-use plastic when creating and performing. Headed by BLOND:ISH, she is asking other artists to join her and use their influential voices to educate, inspire, and advise the music industry and community.

This weekend, June 19th to 21st, ABRA TV is going live on Twitch to inspire and entertain the masses. On Friday, starting at 3pm EST, tune in to catch chats on sustainability and magic mushrooms, a virtual sound meditation, and a live set from Nahko followed by an evening of non-stop jams. Saturday, catch a cosmic weather show before soaking up the sounds of BLOND:ISH and Diplo. On Sunday, a little kundalini and Psychedelic Breath®(work) will get you geared up for Samba for Ravers and so many more great acts.

If you had any plans for the weekend, now is the time to cancel them. There is no better way to welcome the summer than kicking it for a good cause.

To sweeten the already sweet deal, BLOND:ISH and ABRACADABRA are gifting 1 Bitcoin to one lucky winner (a prize valued at $9.2k)! To enter, hit up their Instagram and comment or head to their site and RSVP to enter.

We can’t think of a better way to spend the first weekend of summer. ABRACADABRA TV is bringing a little music, yoga, roundtable chats with pioneers of sustainability in the music biz, neurological reprogramming sessions, mentalists, and illusionists to a virtual space for a jam-packed 3-day festival.

Tune in to Twitch this Friday and we’ll see you on the virtual dancefloor!

Digging the idea of music festivals for a good cause? Shi Fu Miz is teaming up with Bye Bye Plastic for the 6th edition of their festival this October. Learn all about the Hong Kong music festival here!

The stages and installations will be crafted by local and international designers and there will be a huge focus on sustainability. When you attend the Shi Fu Mix music festival you can rest assured that this festival is doing its part to keep our earth happy and well. The guys and gals of FuFu and La Mamie’s have continuously blown us away, each edition of the Shi Fu Miz festival outdoing the previous. With humble beginnings, they’ve seen a surge in popularity, particularly following their Boiler Room takeover that was broadcast to over 2 million people. This year’s festival will be an intimate gathering of two thousand.

Just a 30-minute ferry ride from mainland Hong Kong, Cheung Chau boasts sandy beaches with a priceless view. Festivalgoers will head to the grassy stretches of Sai Yuen Farm where they will be met with three stages and sounds that will keep them grooving day and night.

We believe that when you put things out into the universe, they have a better chance of happening. So grab those tickets, and we’ll see you at Shi Fu Miz in October!
