Environmental consciousness and sustainability are the most forward trend nowadays and what’s better than compiling social responsibility into ecology, art and music? And here comes the birth of our homegrown first ever zero-waste outdoor music festival: Shi Fu Miz Festival.

Shi Fu Miz Festival was founded by creative agency Fufu and Parisian DJ music collective brand La Mamie’s back in 2016. For their 2018 edition, Shi Fu Miz is going to collaborate with ecology partner Green is the New Black, Now no waste, and sustainable fashion brand Mahka.

With Green is the New Black’s green strategy consultation, Shi Fu Miz Festival will feature dedicated recycling bins for food waste and recyclables and offer biodegradable straws. Free filtered water (Don’t forget to BYOB – Bring Your Own Bottle!) at camping ground fountains, and more other environmental-friendly actions will be used to reduce festival-goer’s influence to the nature through artistic and experiential settings.

Festival program included electronic/house/techno DJ performances, wellbeing workshops, beach cleaning session (free beer will be rewarded) and thought-provoking talks on eco subjects incorporating mindfulness, meditation and yoga.

Shi Fu Miz Festival will be held on October 27-28 in Sai Yuen Farm, Cheung Chau. Get your tickets (Single day ticket: $380; 2-Day ticket: $880) here.
